Please note that the RAMIRI project has been jointly managed by Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste and Imperial College London.

RAMIRI 1 (2008-2010) was coordinated by Imperial College London, and RAMIRI 2 (2010-2012) is coordinated by Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste.

Information about course applicants for RAMIRI 2 programmes in either 2011 or 2012 will be held jointly by Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, under applicable Italian law, and by Imperial College London, under the terms of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with the data protection principles of Imperial College London.

The full privacy notice with respect to Italian law is as follows:

1. With reference to your registration as applicant for the RAMIRI 2 Project, and according to art. 13 of Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree no. 196 dated 30 June 2003, we inform you that: a) Personal data regarding you will be necessary for the management of the candidate selection process. i) In particular the RAMIRI-2 Programme Advisory Committee will use your personal data during the selection process. ii) Your data will be used for mailing purposes related to the RAMIRI-2 Project. b) Personal data abovementioned will be processed: i) Manually and electronically. ii) By authorized, identificated and trained personnel.

2. The data controller is Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A., represented by Dr. Alfonso Franciosi. 3. We also inform you that art. 7 of the decree grants you specifics rights. Particularly, you could obtain from the holder or from the responsible persons the confirmation about the existence or not of your data and the communication of them in an intelligible way; the origin of the data; the reasons and the purposes of the data processing; the names of the holder and the responsible persons; the deletion; the anonymous conversion of the data or the blocking of the processing done in breach of the law; the updating; the amendment or, if necessary, the integration of the data; finally, you could oppose by notice in writing to the data processing for lawful reasons.

Information that you give us may be stored electronically for the purpose of organising the RAMIRI programme in 2011 and 2012, and to remain in contact with delegates after the Symposium.
